Stile Antico returns to the BBC Proms

13 April, 2016

Stile Antico is delighted to confirm its return to the BBC Proms in August 2016. The group will be joined by regular collaborators Fretwork for a performance of music connected with Shakespeare, including works written for them by Huw Watkins and Nico Muhly, at Cadogan Hall on Monday 15th August at 1pm.

This is Stile Antico’s third appearance at the BBC Proms. The group made its Proms debut in 2010, singing Song of Songs at Cadogan Hall. In 2015, they sang works by Lassus at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the Sherlock Holmes Prom. Their forthcoming performance marks the end of the group’s tenth anniversary season, which has taken in concerts throughout Europe and the US, several CD releases and special projects including a bursary for promising young singers.

Tickets for the 2016 BBC Proms go on sale on Sat 7th May at 9am.
