Applications invited for 2017-18 Young Singer Bursaries

As part of its continuing commitment to nurture the next generation of young consort singers, Stile Antico is now seeking applications for its 2017-8 bursary scheme. Thanks to the generosity of the Stile Antico Foundation, the group is able to offer awards of £500 to two promising young singers in the final stages of their training or at the outset of their professional careers. In addition to the bursary sum, which is intended to fund singing lessons and other development costs, the successful applicants will be invited to participate in rehearsals with Stile Antico, and will mentored by members of the ensemble. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience within a world-class vocal consort, to engage with the particular challenges and rewards of working without a conductor, and to make valuable contacts within the early music world.

If you wish to be considered for a bursary, please send your CV (including the names of two referees), a recording of a solo song, and a letter outlining your reasons for applying and how you propose to spend the bursary sum to bursary@stileantico.co.uk by midnight on Sunday 17th September. Audio recordings are preferred, but we will accept video submissions providing that the sound is of sufficient quality.
