Stile Antico enjoys busy Festival season
Stile Antico is coming to the end of a busy summer performing at festivals at home and around Europe. In the UK, the group has performed at the St David’s Festival, Harrogate International Festival, Lake District Summer Music and Cambridge Early Music Concerts. Its European engagements have included Rheinvokal and Wege durch das Land in Germany, Les Jardins Musicaux in France and Switzerland, the Festival Internacional de Música in Póvoa de Varzim, Portugal and La Capella Musicale Milan.
Stile Antico’s summer season concludes with two prestigious appearances in the Low Countries. On 25th August, the group returns to Laus Poliphoniae in Antwerp, singing a new programme of music by Giaches de Wert. Then on 5th September, Stile Antico sings once again in the cathedral in Utrecht as part of the Festival of Early Music, performing its Hapsburg programme ‘From the Imperial Court’.
