Welcome Rosie, our newest member

We are very happy to announce the appointment of Rosie Parker as the newest member of Stile Antico.

Rosie studied solo voice ensemble singing at the University of York under Robert Hollingworth before becoming an alto lay clerk at Peterborough Cathedral. Since moving to London she has worked with many of the UK’s finest groups, including The Marian Consort and SANSARA, and we are delighted to welcome her to the group.

Rosie writes: “I am so utterly thrilled to be joining Stile Antico. The opportunity to take this glorious repertoire to audiences all over the world, and to work in collaboration with such a wonderful team of musicians, is a real dream come true – especially after such a difficult two years for live performance. There’s so much to look forward to, and I can’t wait for what’s to come!”

Rosie replaces Eleanor Harries Clarke, a founder member who leaves the group having sung more than 450 concerts, including – remarkably – our first 443 performances without missing a single one. Eleanor writes: “After two decades with Stile Antico, it is finally time for me to move on, leaving my very best wishes for Rosie and the existing members of the group. I will miss it a huge amount, and am sad that the pandemic robbed me of so many final tours, but I’m sure that the friendships and musical influence of Stile will be with me for life. I’m currently studying for an MA in Voice Pedagogy and hope to continue encouraging the world to embrace Renaissance music shortly, but for now I have my hands (literally!) full looking after these little chappies…”
