“Since today’s chief objective was to cover 460 miles on the road between Vermont and Erie, our stopover point on the way to Cleveland, there is not much to report. In order to avoid a dull travelogue, I decided to write this blog as a series of haiku poems. One carload made an unscripted visit to Niagara falls this evening, and has added one more of their own!”

toast and eggsovereasy
muffins and apples
driving for ages
rendezvous at deerhead inn
by lake cayuga
another long drive
radio four comedy
reminds us of home
spur of the moment
sun sets on niagara falls
white spray against pink
arrived at erie
the holiday inn express
pizza beer and wine
