early music vocal ensemble - stile antico
Stile Antico

Please note that the application deadline has now passed. We will respond to all applicants soon.

Stile Antico is seeking to appoint a mezzo-soprano or alto with outstanding musicianship and a particular love of early music.

Established in 2001, Stile Antico is now recognised as one of the world's leading exponents of Renaissance and early Baroque choral music. Based in London, the ensemble performs regularly in prestigious venues and festivals throughout Europe and North America, and records exclusively for Harmonia Mundi USA. Its five recordings have won major awards in several countries, including the 2009 Gramophone Award for Early Music.

Uniquely for a group of its type, Stile Antico has no conductor; every member contributes to the musical process, from the selection of repertoire to its interpretation in performance. The group enjoys a busy schedule, typically recording a disc each year, and making roughly 40 concert appearances. During the next 18 months Stile Antico will perform throughout the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Belgium, twice tour the United States, and record its seventh disc.
