Stile Antico and Sting today launched their latest collaboration, a twelve-date tour of Australia and the Far East, with a performance of Songs from the Labyrinth at the Sydney Opera House. Stile Antico's summer season has come to an end with sell-out performances in Vezelay, France, and Utrecht, Holland. Their performance of The Desire of Heavenly Harmonies at last month's Bruges Festival, which was also sold out, can be heard next week on the Klara radio station in Belgium and through the internet. 9.8.08 Stile Antico makes successful debut in Bruges

Stile Antico's two performances in the Musica Antiqua festival in Bruges have met with great acclaim. They performed music by Byrd and Tallis in the St Gilliskerk, receiving excellent reviews in the Flemish press, before collaborating with Gary Cooper and B'Rock to present Blow's Venus and Adonis in the festival's closing concert.

Stile Antico's new release Heavenly Harmonies, which features Tallis' Tunes for Archbishop Parker's Psalter, was today chosen by Radio 3's CD Review as essential to any Tallis collection. The disc was particularly praised for its programming, and for an approach that "revels in the rhythm and vibrancy of the words".

26.3.08 Stile Antico makes third recording

Following the successes of Heavenly Harmonies and Music for Compline, Stile Antico has begun recording its third project for Harmonia Mundi. Moving into the Continental repertoire for the first time on disc, the group is recording a sumptuous selection of Song of Songs settings by the greatest composers of the Spanish and Flemish schools.

26.1.08 Stile Antico performs at Harmonia Mundi celebration

Stile Antico was honoured to take part in Harmonia Mundi's 50th birthday celebrations in Arles last night. The group performed selections from their recordings for an invited audience at the beautiful Chapelle du Méjan. Their second CD for the label, Heavenly Harmonies, is released on 4th February.

23.12.07 York Festival concert broadcast on BBC Radio 3

Highlights from Stile Antico's concert with the Rose Consort of Viols at the York Festival last July were today featured on The Early Music Show on BBC Radio 3. The concert, focusing on Byrd's split loyalties to the Protestant Crown and Catholic Church, can be accessed via the BBC website until 29th December.

During February and March the group will spend three weeks on tour, visiting some of the most important venues on the Continent, including the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, and the Philharmonie, Berlin. Stile Antico is delighted to announce a concert to mark the release of Music for Compline, on 24th January at All Saint’s Church, West Dulwich. The concert will showcase selections from the recording, alongside sumptuous settings of the biblical Song of Songs. The group will lead vocal ensemble courses for two weeks, the first focusing on the Cantiones Sacrae publications and the second on the English Madrigal.
